Miss Natsinee Sermsinsaithong, a Ph.D. student in Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences program, recently completed a research visit at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, KU Leuven, and UZ Leuven Hospital in Leuven, Belgium 🇧🇪, from 17 to 31 May 2026.

🫁 The visit focused on rehabilitation for patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular disorders.

During the visit, she observed research and clinical protocols, including assessments of physical performance, cardiorespiratory fitness, and cardiovascular health in cardiac patients, individuals with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and liver and kidney transplant recipients. 🫀

💡 Additionally, she studied various rehabilitation strategies, including respiratory training using specialized equipment, the application of health innovations in rehabilitation, and the implementation of both group-based and personalized exercise training protocols. 🏋️

✨ The knowledge and experience gained will be utilized to further develop future research.
