OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
The Department of Physical Therapy has been established in 1986 under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Pimampai Wenzel. To offer the shortage of physical therapists both in government and non-government sections, the Physical Therapy Department has been organized study and learning with the first student intake in 1998 until now. The curriculum of physical therapy as been improved to meet changes in knowledge and soceital issues. Our curriculum has been improved in 2003, 2009, 2012 and 2016.
We have produced 50-60 physical therapy graduates each year in a 4-year course bachelor degree. The program provides students with knowledge and skills essential for physical therapy practice. Graduates will be able to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, community settings, child care centers, as well as sport teams.
In 4 years, students will gain experience in physical therapy in the following areas:
- Musculoskeletal system
- Neurological system
- Cardiorespiratory system
- Sports physical therapy
After completing the program, graduates will have capability to pass the national physical therapy license examination. Our bachelor curriculum has been approved by the Physical Therapy Board of Thailand.
In 2015, we opened the Master degree course providing physical therapists with advanced knowledge and specific skills to enhance their capabilities in working in any excellent centers.
To produce knowledgeable graduates with physical therapy clinical skills, repsonsibilities, professional awareness, and continuing education.
To produce graduates with the following characteristics:
- knowledgeable upon academic am clinical skills, able to integrate knowledge in clinical decision making
- good manner
- professional awareness
- creative and able to use technologies
